Food and Menu and Dietary Restrictions
Proper nutrition is essential for healthy growth and development during childhood, and food plays a crucial role in this process. As the body undergoes significant changes during this stage, children require a balanced diet that provides them with the necessary nutrients. At New Leaf Daycare, we strictly follow the Canada Food Guide, which recommends that children consume a variety of healthy foods from each food group, including vegetables and fruit, whole grains, protein foods, and milk and alternatives. Our menu is updated quarterly, according to the season, and will be posted on the parent board, website, and daycare communication application.
